Synopsis

A collection of comics and stories, including three adventures featuring the Star-Spangled Kid and Stripesy :  "The Vortex of Doom" --   Archenemy of the Star-Spangled Kid and his sidekick, Stripesy, is Dr. Weerd, fiendish foe of all that is right and good, but the two brave American avengers are opponents to be feared, the criminal learns, when the comrades in combat barge in on one of the most vicious attacks on organized society. "Ring of Rags" -- This is the incredible story of rich man, poor man, beggar man, and thief !  The amazing chronicle of the forgotten men of a vast metropolis who panhandle pennies from the populace and pyramid their penny serenade into a vast fortune.  But the two comrades in combat, the Star-Spangled Kid and Stripesy, flash upon the scene to plunge below into a world beneath a world when the clash with the men who inhabit the subterranean city. "The Kidnapping of Rolf Chandler" --  The Star-Spangled Kid and his assistant pal, Stripesy, have learned that a bund holds meetings in a building in the city.  The two spy on the meeting from outside the building with small amplifying mechanisms they call "magic-ears" and learn that the villains plan to kidnap the leader of the anti-fascist movement, Rolf Chandler! PLUS :  Captain X, the Tarantula, Armstrong of the Army, and more!!
